Women Drive Business Success

Authors of “Womenomics: Write Your Own Rules for Success.

Claire Shipman and Katty Kay wrote an interesting article in the May 21, 2009 issue of Business Week, called “How Women are Redefining Work and Success.” In this article they discuss how women are changing the future of organizations and how they operate by working how they prefer to work. This is a radical change from the top-down corporate directive approach to work that most women have built their corporate careers under. The authors say that the most important component driving the future of work is that women are finally understood to be good for business. Three studies, including one by Catalyst, a leading advocacy group for women in the workplace, found that the more senior women at a company, the more money it makes.
